Question Erratic electric yamaha

Put new batteries in after purchase....when I try to go real slow in our r.v. park, it wants to kick in and out ...I am using very light pressure on pedal...any cure?? If I push down firmly, it takes right off and even climbs inclines well with 4 people on it!! Thanks for your time and advice... J.J.

Take a look at the wiper assembly and look for anything loose. My 77 melex is cart does basically the same thing....its just a part of having a resistor type cart. Sounds like what is happening is your between 2 contacts on the wiper assembly and it makes contact with one or the other causing it to jump. It should not jump that much but it is noticeable. Double check the wiring and compare it with a G2 diagram posted in this forum.

I would make sure the first resistor isn't broken.. pretty common with all resistor cars...
