Re: 13hp clone
Okay I need some help guys. I have a 1995 Club Car. Purchased one of those clone motors to replace my FE290. I'm running into a slight problem... The shaft on the clone is 1" and not long enough to support the current clutch I have. The previous shaft is 7/8 and much longer. Any suggestions???
I'd like to get this thing on the road and running! 4x4 you had some options, but you didn't go into detail. Can you help? |

Re: 13hp clone
you will probably need a clutch to fit the 1" square end shaft , or
have your shaft machined to fit the clutch . I got my 1" clutch from cart parts plus they are a sponcer here . I am going today to pick up my first club car , with a bad engine , already have a 13 clone sitting and waiting to go in . |

Re: 13hp clone
Goat53 is correct...you will need a clutch for the straight (not tapered) shaft.
I have a 16 hp clone with a Comet 780 from CPP. Call Tom, he will set you up. I think the last time I checked it just under 200.00. Good Luck, Bryan |

I saw the 16hp clone on ebay go for under $200 ($79 shipping). I was all over it until I learned of the counterclockwise rotation...But should fit the older CC and ezgo. How is it working out for you? |

Re: 13hp clone
Dang I wish I knew that I needed a clutch. I would have ordered it. I was stoked to get this thing on the road this weekend.
Well I'll call Tom and see what I can come up with. Thanks for your help everyone. |

Re: 13hp clone
Just ordered the clutch from Tom.
I'm hoping that's all I need. . Can anyone think of anything else that I will need? |

Re: 13hp clone
You guys sure have me interested in these clones as I can't fork over the greebacks either. I'm thinkng of the 16 Hondaish in a 96 CC. Two questions for now>>>
1. What exhaust are you guys running on the clones? 2. How many RPM are getting out of them? |

Re: 13hp clone
This ebay listing shows all the specs for this 16hp motor. Listing 16hp @3600 rpm. I don't think they are all the same. Besure rotaion is compatable...
