Tires for muddy conditions, stock suspension
Hey Guys/gals
Lurking for ages, just curious what you guys use for stock ride on a 93 clubcar DS. I am getting stuck alot on my land even on flat ground when it gets muddy. I am using the stock golf tires, what can I use to get better traction? Thanks. |

Re: Tires for muddy conditions, stock suspension
Just got back from my nephews and he was running these. They seemed to do a pretty good job. It was dry, so no mud last week. His cart doesn’t run on any roads and very little grass

Re: Tires for muddy conditions, stock suspension
I picked up a pair of atv type 20x10x8 lug tires on Amazon cheap. They do well in our wet clay. They are mounted on stock Ezgo rims and cart. I ended up with a 1 inch spacer ( could have used 3/4") to keep the sidewall from rubbing the leaf spring in high speed turns.
Added bonus is all that soft sidewall really improved the ride |

Sahara an Kenda both make tires in 8”s and I have been happy with them. If you have a cart dealer near you it is possible they have some turf tire pull offs. Would have some wear but would give you an idea if it would help.

1031201326.jpgI put these on last year for hunting river bottom land. When wet, it is slimy, and greasy. My all terrain tires just plugged up and turned into slicks. These work great in the grease. Sunf brand from Amazon 20x10x8. Self clean and dig in.

Re: Tires for muddy conditions, stock suspension
I had similar situations running all terrains in muddy conditions, they would cake up and essentially turn to slicks. I opted for the swamp witch tires for sloppy hunting conditions, big improvement and they clean out much easier. They aren't as comfortable but sure beats getting stuck. Outside of hunting season, I throw the all terrains back on when cruising around with the family.
