95 Club Car 48 volt with stock curtis controller
Cart solenoid clicks rapidly and cart jerks especially at low speeds or going up a grade. I have replaced the v glide or step potentiometer and reset the OBC.
I also replaced the solenoid. All cables are new and 4 gauge good grade cables. Batteries are new and all test good. I have the cart body removed so I can get to all the wiring. Any ideas on what could be the problem |

Have you load tested the batteries?

. . . batteries may be "good/new", but did you load test them and check the SG of the individual cells? Symptoms point to a possible battery issue of sorts . . .

Re: 95 Club Car 48 volt with stock curtis controller
Have re loaded tested batteries and just to be on the safe side, I changed the entire battery pack with a new set that had been properly load tested and still have the same problem. I think we can all forget about battery issues. The cables are all 4 gauge with heavy duty terminals. I have changed the solenoid and am thinking I have a diode problem. Any suggestions are appreciated

At the suggestion of a friend who has a lot of electronic experience, I removed the diode from the system, but problem still exist. As soon as accelerator is barely depressed, the solenoid stats clicking. Beginning to think OBC is defective. Have went through two resets following proven procedures, but problem still exist

Is it possible to take the input to the solenoid out of the obc system.

Re: 95 Club Car 48 volt with stock curtis controller
Update: Put a jumper between negative post of battery pack and negative side of solenoid and cart runs. Solenoid engages when switch is turned to on. Is this an indication that I need a new OBC. Somebody please respond after reading all off my post on this subject

I just eliminated my OBC and went with a fully automatic stand alone charger. You could bypass your OBC and try it? But I doubt that is the problem. Could it be the controller?

Don't think the controller is the problem since it will run with the jumper from negative side of battery pack to negative side of solenoid
