Many years ago - my wife observed me under a car in a junkyard removing a master cylinder. Saying it looked unsafe she stacked a couple of rims next to me. Moments later the car fell on the rims. I removed the cylinder and changed my underpants. Be safe.
Had a car fall off a jack a few months ago before I could get the jackstands in place. A very sobering experience. The suggestion about putting the wheels under a car being worked on is a good one. It could be the difference between life and death, and being crushed by a car is probably not a pleasant way to go...
