try getting the rearend off the ground see if it dos the same thing, if so i think the place to start is making sure your getting enough fuel to the carb if so take the carb off and really go over it get some cleaner take the jets out and make sure that every hole in jets are not plugged up or getting plugged up, but go over every hole and port on carb, take your time when done blow thur everything using air compressor, put back togather see if it makes any difference, you may also want to get a fuel pump kit and go over the fuel pump also, this is a start.

To shadowman,

I am looking for primary clutch for 1989 club car. I tried to find your email address but couldn't find it. I know we communicated a couple of years ago. New primary is too expensive. Do you know how I could work around with a newer cheaper model? Of do you know where I could find a used 89 primary or a knock off. thanks.

If you just bought it/not sure I would:
-Replace all fuel lines
-Install new clear fuel filter
-See if fuel is being pumped into filter
-Make sure fuel is getting to carb

Go from there.

Also, make sure pickup tube is in good shape and is not clogged. Install filter in proper direction. All this is assuming there is a fuel problem. I would check for a worn out belt.

Don I have a working drive clutch on a KF82 motor out in my garage that was working just fine until the camshaft snapped in the motor. It's from a 1990 gas club car (same drive clutch was used from 1988-1996). You can have it for $125 shipped as long as you're within the continental US. If you're interested I'll send you pics.

I am from Dauphin, Manitoba Canada. If you could ship it to me here that would be great.... Send me some pics so I can have my mechanic look at them. Thanks.

I'll ship it there but I'll have to see what shipping is. Usually shipping something like this is around $10-$15 within the lower 48 and that's what I factored into my price. Here are the pics:
