Default Burnt wire on solenoid

I am new to golf carts, my 1995 ez go quit. I took the cover off the controller and solenoid and found a wire burnt in half that goes from the battery positive on the solenoid to the B- on the controller. Is this where this wire goes? In looking at wiring diagrams I don't see this.

Default Re: Burnt wire on solenoid

Absolutely no. See diagram attached. In this diagram the solenoid main contact is represented in the upper right corner with a 250Ω 5w resistor.
