![]() heavygs, that is one bad azz cart! Wonder what type of rearend he's running? Don't think a stock cart rearend would hold up to the torque.
abieex, I bought my brake shoes off e-bay for a real decent price. Look like good shoes. I've got them installed and now I just picked up a Jakes rear hydraulic disc brake setup, very cheap, that I'll be installing in the near future. Those parts will be available but that doesn't help you any right now. Not sure when I'll be starting that part of the project. |

![]() I hear ya Gray. I think I'm gonna order from e-bay and take my chances. I would love to buy from a sponsor but I'm not paying double! I like the sound of disc brakes but I'll save that my next project, another G1 only a big block. That Harley cart is awesome.

![]() abieex, you can get a set of rear mechanical disc brakes for a G1 off e-bay for $199 shipped. I was going to go that way until I found the ones I have now. Just a thought.

![]() Great Idea for a G1 Club! Finally a place were we can display the G1 creations that we've come up with. Here's a photo of the "Before and After" of my '79. While it wasn't an easy build, but not the toughest that I've done, I enjoyed every minute of it and would do it again in a heart beat!
I was the first one of my neighborhood to modify a golf cart. As you can see from the third photo, my buddies caught the fever, pickup their own Yami and modified them as well. ![]() ![]() |

![]() Abi, you'd be smart to demand "Genuine Yamaha" shoes. Talk to Block, the others are hard compound, and don't stop. Good luck G1 club!! Ed, you guys look good in your third picture!! Thumbs up!!

![]() Same deal in my neighborhood. The one in front is my old G1, I sold it to the neighbor when I bought my G16. We stretched it a little. |
