Charger question
I hope this forum is an appropriate place for my question. If not, I apoligize.
I have an old textron charger, with timer, not automatic, that I have rebuilt from parts. It worked good for a while on some old batteries but then it started showing no amperage being put out. I replaced the ammeter but still no output of amerage. When connected to a set of six good batteries, it shows an output of 44 volts DC which is the same as it is with no batteries. I suspect the transformer but would like any comments you can provide. |

Re: Charger question
Yes Tom I did and they were OK. I replaced the transformer with one that put out more AC and it worked again. Thanks for the response. It was a junker charger to start with but I got a little more life from it using other junker parts.
