EZGO Gas ST Sport ll
I have a 2007 Sport ll, yesterday while using it the motor got hot to the point when I stop and re-started it I was not sure if it would actual start? The air filter is clean, as the motor, the oil dip stick has the oil level at full. You could feel the heat coming up from under the seat. I did get home with it under its own power but I do not want to burn up the motor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: EZGO Gas ST Sport ll
Make sure the engine fan is clean and clear of any debris.
I would also consider using a good synthetic oil like Mobil1. A few thing that make the engine work harder are... rearend issues (check fluid) dragging brakes (cables) Overcharging (gen. putting out more than 14.5 volts) Anything that impedes the cart from rolling freely(steering, tire pressure) A shorter belt will allow the engine to work easier when pulling loads. There are internal engine problems that can cause engines to run hot but beings your cart is new I doubt it's the problem. |

I'll bet you have one fouled plug. Change both spark plugs and you'll be on your way!

Re: EZGO Gas ST Sport ll
I just pulled them and they both looked bad. What could cause them to get this way in only a short amount of time. The motor could not have more then 20 to 30 hours if that much?

I have been told new motors while it transit may get tiped over or shiped on there side a small amount of oil will seep into the plugs and foul them. On my new B&S I had to change plugs with 8 hours on them
