The market is flooded with LF105 cells and I know there 1c continuous pushed to 2c and I even seen pushed to 3c. I am going to rebuild my cart and add a HP motor. So I want to build a battery and like to get 2c cells and will look at your controller.

So you want to build a battery, HUH? Check out the CALB cells on batteryhookup.com. They are 180 continuous, 2C (360a) for 3 minutes and 3C (540a) for 10 seconds. Sounds like a kick a$$ setup to me. Team that with the new JK B2A24S30P BMS (its 300 amp) and I think you have a killer setup. And you don’t have to compress them.

Another option would be to double up (32 cells) on the Japanese LEV60 cells and build an even better battery. Can you imagine a 148ah battery with 360a continuous and a wopping 1200a for 10 seconds? The LEV60’s are only $23.50 each plus shipping.

I had a few questions about these CALB 180ah cells on BatteryH. It appears the delivery date is 3/14/2021.
Any thoughts on these cells for a DIY golf cart build? The ratings seem good and they are tall so have to make sure they would fit. Anything else to consider with CALB cells?
How old can these be before being concerned about degradation type shelf life issues? I'm also considering EVE 80/90/105/161 cells through 18650 battery store or Gobel currently.

I would contact batteryhookup.com about the delivery date of 3/14/21. They are good at answering the phone and responding to email.

Personally my unprofessional opinion of these cells is how can you beat the advertised specs? One nice thing about Calb cells is you don't have to compress them. 16 cells for $720 is reasonable for building a pack. Add a JK 300 amp BMS and you would have something better than you can buy off the shelf.
Max continuous discharge - 180a (1C)
Up to 3 minutes discharge - 360a (2C)
Up to 10 seconds discharge - 540a (3C)
Based on these specs if I were to build another DIY, this would be my choice if it would fit.

I have talked to Gobel and they seem to be a pretty legit company. The only thing is you have to be patient enough to wait 2 months for delivery. As you noted, size matters.
