Re: 01 ds new belts
Who... me?
Most belt squeaking usually comes from the S/G belt at start up, it could be too loose! If the drive belt jerks and squeaks at start out, give it some time to break in and you should be fine! |

Out of curiosity Kevin... What's the part number of the SD drive belt you installed?

Re: 01 ds new belts
There is also a radical difference between crank and move . Jerky . SG belt is new also , and tight . Thank you, Kevin .

Re: 01 ds new belts
The 7189 is the right size for your cart, I have the 7188 on mine (1/8" shorter)
It will have a pretty good jerk at start out, eventually you'll learn how to feather the pedal until the belt gets broken in! That's normal for the severe duty drive belts! |

Re: 01 ds new belts
Should I look for a different belt ? The wife is not liking this at all . Feathering does not help . When it starts , it is very grabby . Is it the clutch ? Thanks , Kevin .Is there any adjustment that could be made ?

Re: 01 ds new belts
There is no adjustment to loosen the belt on 96+ carts!
and maybe... MAYBE... you might need drive clutch buttons, but only IF the drive clutch "clunks" into position at start out, the easiest way to determine that is to run it in maintenance mode and see if the clutch "jumps" into the belt, rather than smoothly "gliding" into it. All else fails? go back to a stock drive belt. |

Re: 01 ds new belts
The buttons are pretty easy to replace yourself, but if you feel uncomfortable about doing it, then yeah, CPP can it for you!
