Frame rust behind rear wheels
Made an offer on another G1. But...decided to inspect it closely and discovered that the square frame tubes behind the rear wheels were badly rusted and one hinge had broken loose from the frame bracket weldment. Tilting up the body shell could be a hazard and the rear bumper is basically fastened to thin air.
Seems to be a straightforward repair as in saw of the damaged goods, mig weld in a new box tube and build a new bracket. Anybody ever come across a similar repair? Also..hose off that wet grass and mud and put flaps back there. Do I sense a parts G1 for a frame here? |
