Default elec or gas rearends?

are all rearends the same, with the only differance being wether they have a clutch or a motor mounted to them?? because i have an elec rearend i want to put in my gas if i can find a driven clutch for it ...its a 98 melex btw

Is it a melex cart? If so an Ezgo rearend may work.

i wanted to put the melex rearend in my ezgo to replace the 2 stroke rearend

yeah i put a 13hp honda clone on my cart (wich is awesome btw) but i don't have any reverse and i picked up this melex cheap hoping it would work not that i really need reverse but it would be a nice feature to keep

The electric rears do not have any F&R controls the motor simply runs F or R like the old 2 stroke did.

You need a 4 stroke rear end. It will actually be a transaxle and then you need anF&R switch with controls.
