Power Drive 3 Charger
I have 2010 Precedent with excel system. Does my Power Drive 3 charger monitor pack voltage and charge batteries when needed? If I leave charger connected, will OBC and charger note pack voltage and charge when voltage drops to a certain level or do I occasionally have to unplug charger and plug back in to get it to turn on?

Re: Power Drive 3 Charger
Never mind. I found the answer on my own.
• Long-Term Storage Charge Vehicles with PowerDrive 3 chargers are designed to be left connected, with AC power to the charger on, during off-season storage. The onboard computer will automatically activate the charger every 15 days. To return the vehicle to service, unplug the charger DC cord, wait 15 seconds for the computer to reset, and plug the charger back in. This will ensure the batteries are at their optimum charge prior to returning the vehicle to service. |

Re: Power Drive 3 Charger
Glad you found your answer. The PD3 only does what the OBC tells it to do. As with all other 48V Club Car chargers.
