Re: 18 hp exhaust
I do like the way your cart sounds for sure but how restrictive is it? After seein all the carbon buildup on the 18 i'm really hesitant to do anything that uses the same basic muffler.
I had thought about makin a 2 into 1 header that goes into a small flowmaster. Would either sound good or really bad |

Re: 18 hp exhaust
The bad build up was from an old exhaust that i had made of water pipe, i never ran the 18 with an actual muffler....

Re: 18 hp exhaust
On our forum under engine upgrade videos. Check out the Yamaha drive video. Thats the 18 with our 2 into 1 header with a removable muffler. Loosen clamp and remove 1 bolt wiggle muffler and remove. Runs great open, and has enough length and back pressure to not have to worry about warping valves.
Sounds like a real Bad A$$ open and a deeper slightly louder sound with the removable muffler on than the direct mount muffler. DEFINATLY NOT A LAWN MOWER SOUND. All this and no more "hot seat" as header is 6-7 inches from seat bottom. Here's a link. http://www.cartpartsplus.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=659 |
