Default Hello all...opinions needed

Hello from Colorado.....

I have a g16 that I have spent he last few months fixing all the little things wrong with it. Got it to where it runs good and is reliable. The cart is mainly used for pit duy at he race track and camping/trail riding. I have 20" tires on it, and it does fine as a pit cart, but up in the hills it needs more torque. I'm torn between maybe adding a 13hp or maybe a 16hp engine or just going with a torque kit and different clutch on the stock motor. I can't seem to find any hipo parts for he stock motor. Opinions please..........

You can change the jet in carb and modify the air got to help a little. Site sponsor Carts parts plus has some hipo parts. Also Plowmans Carts has parts also for the stock engine.

I would start with the spring/spacer torque kit.

Thanks for the responese so far guys.... I checked Plowman's and he has a kit that takes the stock Yami (9 hp?) to 15 hp. Is this realistic or is it just a guess? Anyone here try that kit on a stock g16? Keep the ideas coming.

I put that kit on a g-16 with 22'' wheels and the power really surprised me. I always climb the same hill when I put lift and larger tires on carts and it is the first cart to pull it from a dead stop and almost spin the tires. I don't think it is getting the speed it should, but I haven't had the time to talk to Don about it.
