1989 ezgo electric
testing the selonoid by jumping the two small terminals, if it does nothing does this mean its bad, or should anything happen?

You don't "JUMP" the 2 small terminals. Jumping the 2 together won't do anything at all. Disconnect anything connected to the 2 small terminals. Run a jumper wire from the 36 volt battery positive to one of the small terminals. Take another jumper wire and connect it to 36 volt negative....when you touch the second small terminal (that has NOTHING connected) with the negative jumper the solenoid should click. If you have followed the directions properly and it still doesn't click then your solenoid is bad.
By disconnecting anything connected to the 2 small terminals you are eliminating everything in the control system that "could" be wrong. |
