2001 club car starter generator
Ok Im on my 3rd starter generator since July . After the 2nd one I was thinking it was because they may be rebuilt . So the 3rd I purchased from buggies unlimited .
I just put a 6 in. jake's lift kit on last night and afterwards I went to start it , nothing other than the click . Is their something Im missing ???????? Is it the starter generator again ????? If so what is causing this ? PLEASE HELP !!!!!!! This makeover wont do any good if my ride wont run ..... Thanks Ronnie |

Re: 2001 club car starter generator
ronnie if you just put a lift kit on, i would first off check you engine ground. its the cable from the valve cover area to the frame. and the frame to the battery ground. the enine ground has to go directltly from the engine block/head to the frame. if you dont have this, the engine is basicly not grounded. also check to see if you have power and all you connections are good at the starter. or at least properly installed. meanining you didnt put any wires on the wrong termanials( i know that never happens).

Did you hook up the ground from the start/gen to the frame. They usually need a longer cable after installing a lift. How much run time do you have on this starter?

Re: 2001 club car starter generator
Lets go back to the original problem, What was the reason for replacing it the first time? Was it because it stopped starting or charging?
Did you have it, or them tested before replacing it/them? |
