ez go trouble
I bought a ez go cart today I am not sure what year but it seems to be a newer body style this is the first golf cart I have ever been around much less owned the trouble I am haveing is about 20 minutes into riding it it starts smelling like something electrical is burning and it loses power I can stop and let it sit for a minute and it takes off like nothing is wrong for a few minutes then it does it again any advise would be great oh and it is lifted with bigger tires but they are only 23 inches tall

Re: ez go trouble
Sounds like something is overheating. Does it have 4 gauge cables? Upgraded controller? Newer batteries? TXT? PDS? More info is needed
BTW - did the seller fill you in on any possible issues? |

Re: ez go trouble
2 of the cables are 4 awg the rest look factory(or smaller) it has 5 trojan batteries and 1 interstate not sure what txt or pds means there is a picture of the cart on craigslist under lakeland florida it says fort mead if a picture will help you I asked the guy how long ot would run on a full charge and he told me 3-4 hrs with no trouble so I will be trying to get in touch with him but if it is a small problem I want to keep it I really like the cart but if it is a big problem I want to know so I can get my money back or something

Re: ez go trouble
Sounds like a lifted PDS cart. Where is the forward / reverse switch? What did you pay for it? I'm in Dallas, I'm not searching craigslist to find your cart!

Re: ez go trouble
OK - Now is there a toggle switch on the controller cover, next to the batteries and under the passenger side seat bottom?
