Myth busters needed or ?
Hey, Guys. Some time back I read that CC gassers could suck the butterfly down the intake. Is this myth or truth? I have never seen one but this new member is making me think his cart is one ride away from doing it?
http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/newre...uote=1&p=70720 Thanks for your help !!! |

Re: Myth busters needed or ?
Thank you Mike, I have never seen it but this cart has a loud vibration at acertain throttle position and the noise is changed when the air tube is squeezed. Sounds like a loose throttle butterfly valve....

No, i didn't say noise is changing when i squeeze the air tube.
I said if i squeeze the air tube and throttle the cart, i feel the vibration at the air intake, and i only feel it vibrate at certain rpm.. so that might make a difference here.. |

Re: Myth busters needed or ?
Sounds puzzeling at the least. Just remove your carb to see if the butterfly is loose. I really don't think that that small of a butterfly could make a noticable vibration of an audible rattle? Don't know - we need your diagnosis here!!!

Re: Myth busters needed or ?
what do you need to know from me?
I'll try my best to answer your questions, however, i think the engine is doing it internally, |

Re: Myth busters needed or ?
I came to the conclusion that the motor is shot, one of the reasons that
i came to that conclusion is that it's doing it only under load, and i think that rattle i'm hearing is actually the engine knocking. |
