It’s also much more common for the OBC to fail than for the charger to fail.

The charger that I have is a scheuer
and I was told that it will not work with an OBC. It will only charge it up to 44 boats.

It will not work as long as You try to charge using the OBC.

Assuming you have a 3-pin round plug on the charger, Just run the charger receptacle negative wire directly to pack negative or Controller B- and it will charge normally.

You then only have to by-pass the controller lockout by running the Solenoid negative activation wire directly to pack negative or Controller B-.
