06 Precedent regen not working, intermittently slows down
06 Precedent 6 seater. Starts off fine. After a couple minutes, choppy acceleration, eventually slows down to a crawl. First hill, regen breaking works...second hill and on and no longer working. Had the local shop replace batteries with Trojan 1275, I think thats the model. Problem persists. They just replaced the mcor, and swore up and down that would fix it. Just got it back and same problems exist. I asked if they were actually diagnosing the problem, or if they are replacing multiple parts until they figure it out. They assured me after batteries and prior to mcor they were 100% certain 8t was the mcor. Well,$1500 and not yet fixed. The old batteries were only 18 mos old, so now I'm wondering if there really was a problem with them.
Anyone got ideas or suggestions? I'm pretty handy and can change parts if I know what I need to replace. But I didnt, which is why it went to the shop. Thanks. |
