2001 ezgo txt works fine in forward but not reverse. Please help!

Don't edit throttle setting unless you want to borrow trouble.
Go to the monitor tab and watch the throttle progress bar move up as the pedal goes down.

I did not mess with the throttle settings in the program. When I had it plugged into the controller and the computer there was no information displayed about my controller so I couldn’t see anything at all. Do you think this is a problem? I doubt it since forward works fine but I am not sure. Thanks

So I am guessing a new f&r switch or reversing contractor? Most likely go contractor route but still not sure the switch is the problem.

I am an amateur compared to these other guys but to positively confirm or deny a bad F/R switch can't you just swap the F/R leads on the switch? If, after the swap, you have reverse but not forward then your switch is bad. If things don't change after the swap then your problem is elsewhere.

I only have old restorations carts so perhaps I am thinking too simplistically. If it doesn't apply then ignore, obviously.

I answered your question in the other thread you posted to.

Typically, you should open a new thread for question(s) about a different cart, because it gets very confusing when different carts with different problems are in same thread.

A series car controller is not programmable and a diagnostic bench system can't do anything with it. Doesn't mean your controller is shot. If you got Forward it's good. Reverse being out is likely a bad F/N/R switch. It's the most common failure around where i work. Especially if the car is lifted.

Who told you that a series Alltrax controller is not programmable, and diagnostic bench system cant do anything with it? Alltrax says just the opposite.
