Thumbs down Cart loses power going up hill

My 97 club car ds cart loses power and tell that it is loosing power while climbing up hils. It's like it almost running out of power when this happens. It is not the fastest thing but I dont know what todo.

They all do. You need more HP and a larger controller. Even with that it will slow going up hills just not as much.

Let’s start at the top: how old are your batteries and what’s the voltage at while going up the hill?

How can I test voltage while going up hill? Batteries are new 5 months old maybe at the least

Attach a volt meter to the pack or get an in dash digital LED volt meter.

36 or 48 volt?

Battery cable size is important too.
#4 welding cable , from battery to motor
will help.
Clean snug connections throughout.
