Default Charger Question

What is the third wire on the charger plug for?

Thank You in advance.

Just to sense that battery voltage isn't too low before charging to start automatically, battery and charger protection for too much charging current...

The 3rd wire on the plug of battery side is to disable the DC controller when it is being charged...

So, if I understand correctly, there is a positive and negative charging lead and the third wire is routed back to the charger so it knows voltage.

There is a positive, normally white, a negative, normally black and the third wire is normally an interlock to prevent the cart from operating while the charger is plugged in.
