That's right.

Sounds like some of the PC-board runs have been vaporized.

Thanks so much JB, Your explanation helped me understand the current flow. I bought used 2005 western pds cart with a smoked controller.

Drop an Alltrax XCT48400-PDS (or larger) controller in it along with a 200A or larger solenoid and 4Ga cables throughout (10 total) and hold onto you hat. It'll do over 20MPH with a 36V battery pack and faster with 42V or 48V (whatever Western uses). User programmable, so you can slow it down if you so desire.
