2006 Precedent Controller upgrade question
I just got my upgraded controller, solenoid, battery wires and speed motor delivered from Dave at Revolution last night and I had a couple of hours to kill this morning so I jumped right in but have a question before I go any farther.
What exactly is this and can I remove it all together? |

Re: 2006 Precedent Controller upgrade question
Looks like the OEM controller heat sink. The new controller won't line up with it, but it's easy enough to drill some new holes on it. #14 x 1.5 self tapping screws will work. I'll let someone else with more experience (maybe check with Dave) if you can do without it, but I'd imagine it's better to have than not.

Is the existing Controller mounted to it / close to it? I'd ask Dave if it would be worth using the Heat Sink with the Controller he sold you? Yep, Wakko said it better than I did LOL |

Yeah, I wasn’t sure on drilling into it so I removed it. I’ll go ahead and re install it then tap the new screws. I did reach out to Dave, but it is Sunday morning. Thanks for the quick reply. |

If you are installing Alltrax, you can remove that heatsink for the old controller. No longer needed. |
