Default The rear end saga continues.....

If you remember I had borrowed a rear end from JD Sharp to go to the race in Springfield after my rear end had metal in it even after I put all new bearings and seals in it. While I had JD's borrowed, I took mine to a local cart shop and had them totally disasemble it and check everything. They said that it all looked perfect to them. I got the cart back together tonite and the rear end is noisy on deceleration and the cart is about 3 mph slower than with JD's rear end in it. I'm going to pull the pan off again this weekend but I almost guarantee you that there is metal in it again. I am at the end of my rope with this deal.

Does anyone have any idea of anything that I might do or does anyone have an extra rear end that they would sell me?

Terry

No shims in this rear end or any way to adjust gear lash. Everything just bolts together in these EZGO electric rear ends. It is about the weirdest deal that I have been in that no one can see anything wrong but something obviously is.

I'll keep my eye out for one T. Did you drop the pan again to check for debris?

Was to frustrated to mess with it but judging from how it sounds..........

I see on shopezgo.com that they have a new assy. without brakes for $800.00 so that's probably what I'll do. Sure wish I could find a used one but so far I can only find complete carts and they are all more than the new rear end and I DO NOT NEED ANOTHER CART.
