Yes Mark is right. You have to remove the stainless step plate(good luck), you may had to drill those carriage bolts out. Then once that is removed you can pull the frot of the black plastic panel back to see the huge rivet. Drill this one out. With these even though I have a big enough pneumatic rivet gun I use bolts to replace the big ones. No you do not HAVE to use oem rivets but for $15 for ALL of the. It's very convient.
The ones holding the cowl at the top are like Mark stated a black plastic exploding rivet. The head and shaft are metal but the outer body is actually slit in 3 areas. When you pull through it splits into 3 legs like a triangle to hold the body on Hope this helps along with what Mark just said! Colton |
