![]() I'm upgrading motor (GE D1162), controller (DCX 500 alltrax), solenoid and cables on my 2001 ez go txt. Is a heavy duty forward/reverse switch required for a pds cart or is the standard toggle f/r switch alright? I can't find any information for a heavy duty f/r switch for a pds cart.

![]() low current so the factory switch will be fine. If you are looking for something different, I saw where someone on here put a club car Presedent FNR switch on. Looks pretty sweet.. Need to find that one again..

![]() thanks. Does the controller need to be in an enclosure. I thought I read somewhere that you should cut off the enclosure below the run/tow switch and leave the controller exposed.

![]() The answer is yes, you can cut it off but I would only cut off say half. I still like the idea of keeping at least the solenoid covered. Probably not required but makes me feel better and it keeps bad things from happening if you say drop a wrench in there...
