Alright, so tomorrow I'll pull the 3-pin plug off the motor and bypass the Regen solenoid on driver's side. Once done, I'll report back.

Disconnect the negative cable from the battery pack before starting, and don't forget to use 2 wrenches when disconnecting the cable from the motor so you won't spin the stud. Good luck.

Hi! Turns out I may have access to a new solenoid--should I replace it or just bypass it and the speed sensor? And, to confirm, if the regen solenoid is bad, I would get slow acceleration/torque?

I would bypass the solenoid, that system never worked right anyway....Yes if the solenoid does not turn on the cart will run very slow and the resistor coil will glow until it catches on fire.
Disconnecting the speed sensor is optional if you want more speed out of the cart.

Oh, ok--so I don't need to disconnect the speed sensor for the solenoid bypass to work? I'm getting decent speed right now, it's just real, real slow to start and there's not much torque to make it up anything more than flat ground.

Correct, leave the speed sensor alone and just bypass the solenoid.

Hi! Working on this now, and the solenoid had three wires going to it- one was red by itself and then a brown/purple and orange one together. Disconnected them and did the solenoid removal and now no motor at all. Thoughts?

Do you have the cable going from the motor A2 post directly to the controller A2 connector?
