Your not far away, as for the fuse size, take a look at the fuse panel in your daily driver, it should give you a starting point for the sizes, like lights and radio

I use 5's for my charger, 20's for my amps, 10's for led's and headlights

That's what I was thinking of doing, I have my light bar and USB port straight wired. But after the comments I'll just install 2 inline fuses. They will only take 10 minutes, I'll just wire them in the battery box I have mounted in the bag wall.

I put fuses on anything that goes back to a hot

A fuse is not to protect the appliance or instrument it is to keep the wire from burning. You can under size a fuse all you want to, but do not over size.

I could be mistaken but doesn't a fuse also keep an instrument or device from overheating as well as protecting the wire?

This isnt a geat picture but I used a 6 port fuse block that has a ground and a positive block
