Default 81 Ez-go 36v No Forward

Hey Everyone, I have a 81 Ez-go 36v that wont go into Fwd, but it has reverse. I took the fwd/rev switch and contact board totally apart and cleaned up everything, installed it back in the cart and reattached the cables and now when I put it in fwd it goes into reverse. I Never wrote down a diagragm of how the cables were attached prior to removal. (hungover) So my questions are 1) Before I took apart my switch if you had to guess , do u think the forward/reverse switch went bad?

2) If anyone has the diagrahm for my year from the fwd/rev control switch?contact board to the motor ( my motor the studs are all 4 inline).

I was thinking of buying that new controller upgrade kit to replace the" old resistor coil system", any thoughts on this?

thanks, Jason

1. You either got the cables to the Armature or Stator switch when you put them back on.

2. See attached PDF files.

3. Controller drive system is far more efficient than the resistor drives and less likely to set tall grass on fire if you drive off-road.

Some guys have rewired the throttle wiper broad and added five 1K resistors to make their cart a 5-speed rather than adding a pot box having a continuously variable throttle.

I don't have a schematic of exactly how it is done, but here is a picture of one.
