Don't you want the relay on the battery side of the voltage reducer?

Conversely, the relay will be off whenever the key switch is off (no matter what position the toggle is in). The output from the converter goes straight to the distribution board and each accessory switch goes between a fuse on the distrubution board and the accessory.

If you don't want the additional toggle switch just ignore it in the diagram and connect the key switch directly to the relay.
This is great information, I was looking at the diagram wrong(disregard the last post). Thanks for the explanation and pictures!👍
I have the voltage reducer ran through a switch that was already in the dash, and was running my headlights and taillights. I was a bit concerned about the switch handling the 48v or someone leaving it on, seeing how it doesn't light up. I now want to run a small amp and a horn along with lights. So im putting a small fuse block and adding the relay hoping to utilize the key switch and hopefully cut all power so there's no drain.
My other concern l have now is something else ive read on this site, it was something about using a diode or a resistor. I can't seem to find the thread. Do you have one installed? Or know why I would need it?
