Default re-use cables on club car with series motor

Last year i replaced all of the cables on my club car with series motor with 4 ga. cables, could anyone give me any idea if putting the old back on with the new ones would be helpful in better torque and possibly a little more speed. i have the altrax 400 and upgraded solonoid that i upgraded to. I can get 20 mph with gps with how it is set up now but if i can get any improvement torque wise or speed wise by using the old cables along with the new it could possibly be a free upgrade that now is just sitting in a box. thank you for any information. Mike

i was just wondering if anyone had any experience with running the original cables parallel along side the upgraded ones would be feasable to increase torque or perhaps speed as well. I myself think it would but know there are much more knowledgeable people here that might know if there might be a reason not to. i have learned much just by reading other peoples posts and comments on theirs. thank you all for that

It would cause bad connections likely. More than one ring thermal per battery post is not good if you can keep from it. Current takes the path of least resistance, so a 6 ga cable along side a 2 ga cable, the 2 gauge would handle all the current the cart required. The 6 ga would just offer resistance to the system. I’m not the best at explaining things, but it would not help imo.
