1997 Club Car DS V-Glide
I have the original V-glide on my 97 DS. It is starting to fail as it no longer gives a smooth response and has a dead spot.
My question: Is rebuilding this the best option? Is there an upgrade? Thank for any help! |

Re: 1997 Club Car DS V-Glide
It lasted 23 years; I'd buy a new one and be good for another 23 years :)

Thank you for the reply.
I opted to do the MCOR 4 conversion. The V-glide i have is a 3 pin and not too many places have them. The conversion kit was the same money. |

Re: 1997 Club Car DS V-Glide
For those who were interested:
I opted for the Pre MCOR conversion kit made by Club Car - It is worth the money and trouble. I have better throttle control over the V-Glide and no jerking when trying to go slow. The worse part of the install for me was the pivot shaft that the pedal rides on - I had to cut this out as it was seized on the shaft. This was due to the carts construction life before I got it. The kit is complete plug and play. |
