Default No voltage reading pack

Hi..friends EZGO just quit running. Was jerking and going slow before it went kaput. Tested the pack voltage and the reading is zero! Each battery separately tested are between 8.4 and 8.9..but reading the pack shows zero.. thanks for any insight. He did say he smelled some burning wire..all wires to battery..controller or solenoid look fine.

If the same voltmeter that reads 8.4V to 8.9V on the individual batteries, reads 0V on the pack, one of the interconnection cable inside the pack has gotta be broken.

You likely have a bad connection between a battery post and the cable connection. Check for voltage between each battery post and its cable connection during low voltage output you describe. Voltage between any one of them indicate poor connection between the two points.
