Eco Battery charger issue
New 48 volt 105 Eco Battery. Weird issue. As the battery gets to 100% charge, the charger will sit at 99% charged and the charger will cycle on and off every few seconds. If is disconnect the EB voltage reducer, it stops. When I install a different voltage reducer (with the load side disconnected) it will do the same thing. 2 different batteries have done this. 2 different voltage reducers do this so I’m focused on an issue with the charger.
Any ideas? I’m stumped. Thanks |

I ran the 48v + and - power to the voltage reducer through a 2 pole switch. Because of this, I always have the voltage reducer disconnected when I charge it. I had to do it this way because the switch also powers my 48v strobe light. Message EB on their chat and you'll get an answer within an hour usually. |

Re: Eco Battery charger issue
Not necessarily a fault, just a voltage threshold/deadband issue.
Battery fully charges, charger turns off, converter caused the voltage to drop slightly, charger turns back on...REPEAT What voltage are you charging to? Dropping the voltage should stop or at least slow this problem. |

Re: Eco Battery charger issue
I have my voltage reducer wired to the key, so with key off, I don’t see this behavior. I did see it with key left on.

Re: Eco Battery charger issue
There should be a 5th lead on the 48v input side that goes to the key switch. I did run mine all the way to the key. The only annoying part is the wire run and dealing with that janky top screw on my dash instrument panel. I have a 2014 Precedent.
