G-16 fuel line leak

hey all, my g-16 is leaking gas. i believe it is that white nylon part attatched to the firewall between fuel filter and fuel line. does any1 know what this part is called and where i can buy another?
ok, i think it is the fuel pump assembly.....will look around.

Fuel lines can be purchased at any auto parts store. Remove it and take it to the store to insure that you get the right size, while your at it, get enough to replace ALL the lines (their cheap). Don't forget the one that goes from the fuel pump to the rear of the engine The "white thing on the firewall" is the fuel pump. It usually fails due to a wore out diaphram. Don't think it "leaks". you may be loosing fuel from a line due to a bad connection. When you get new lines, buy new hose clamps also. the cart may still have the original spring clamps.
Note: never seen a "white fuel pump"

thanks heimster, i ordered a new pump yesterday. the one on the cart is in fact white plastic. g22 has a plastic pump i noticed when i ordered. odd cause the one i ordered is a metal pump which is what is called for. i will also be replacing all the hoses also. thanks for reply! tin

You should be able to take apart the old pump. There is nothing in there but the diaphram. If there is a hole or tear in it, it won't create the suction required to draw fuel from the tank. That line going from the pump to the back of the engine is providing the pulsating vacuum. Any micro cracking in that line, as a result of age, will allow the pulse line to draw air into the line (no more vacuum). Fuel leaks generally , will come from the other lines as a results of , bad connections at the joints , or cracked lines (age again) You may try and look into the white pump to insure that that is the problem, I always hate spending money on parts I don't need.
