Help with carberators
I have '00 fe350 and am thinking about a new carb. I see fe290 carbs significantly cheaper than 350 carbs. The Q is ' is there a difference between these models?'
My carb is sort of racy...It wants to GO or quit.... |

Re: Help with carberators
They are different! bigger bowls, jets, etc.
Check with Tom at CPP... he has carb kits for the FE290... he may be able to get you one for the FE350! (Your cheapest... best bet!) |

Bigger motors need more fuel.

Re: Help with carberators
I found that there are two different carbs here for the 350 and the 300 Austin. you mentioned the butterfly coming off and yesterday I talked with a mechanic that said one of his customer carts sucked the butterfly into the valve seat and well you can guess the rest... A new air cleaner and plug has helped mine smooth out a lot!
