Driven clutch rubbing against cylinder...
Hello,
I was noticing when I was driving down the road a scrubbing like sound I had before. I thought it was a warped tire or something. I checked later on and looked by the driven clutch and noticing some rubbing against cylinder casing about the size of a dime. I jacked it up and noticed it seems to do it when the clutch engages, but not real bad, but enough to be noticeable when listening. Have any of you guys had this problem? I guess the motor is twisted a little bit. I am not sure how to really correct it. I have been letting it go and will try to figure out how to correct it. Thanks for any help. |

Re: Driven clutch rubbing against cylinder...
I think that you find that your engine mounts are worn causing the engine to be dragged into the clutch as the belt tightens. Jack it up and get a buddy to blip the throttle whilst you watch to see if the engine shifts.
