Never heard of "rim" grease.......sounds like something that would be used to.....Nope not even gonna go there. Guess Dad was right if they had to develope a special "rim" grease........

And yes Grease does affect rubber because we are talking about dry rot........It does affect all rubber, but every day use car or truck tires usually wear out and are replaced before dry rot becomes an issue. On the other hand, golf cart and trailer tires that are kept for many years, dry rot is an issue. Next time I am down at our local cart shop I am sure I will find the same amount of "rim" grease in there as I will find cart mechanics that "Hablas" English..........

Store the vehicle and tires away from any gasoline, grease or oil, which can act to break down rubber.

Sí. Tenemos un mexicano que trabaja con nosotros y no puedo entender una cosa, dice. Casi todo lo que puedo comprender es el hecho de que bebe mucha cerveza.

(race delay post)
Este proyecto requiere de mucho whisky!

So on another note and to take this way off it's original topic but here goes nothin'. What do you gain with a 19 year old Club Car series cart V glide cart by adding over $200 bucks worth of 4 gauge wires? Has anyone sent their old 36V motor off to PQ and what did doing that improve?

Efficiency. The cables on a factory golf cart are designed to last as long as the first set of batteries. They're crap, but they work. Changing to high strand count 4g welding cable with soldered copper lugs insures that every bit of energy in the pack moves downstream to the motor with minimum losses. If your cables are original, it's way past time for a change, and if ya want the best, it costs money.

As for a PQ upgrade, you will see increased speed AND torque, something not easy to accomplish on these motors. They are a great outfit that supplies a great product.

Some of the cables have been changed...but none are 4 gauge. So I'll send some stuff off to "Cash for Gold" and see about buying some. Just hope the Wifey don't miss a couple pair of ear rings and a bracelet or two.

What exactly is a PQ upgrade....I thought they supplied a service where you send them your motor and they "refurbish" it.

Again I ain't looking to break the sound barrier or have a show cart. I want a clean, reliable, correctly repaired cart.

PS..I think I have found another shop in Edom, Texas which is close. I think the owner posts on here. Does anyone know about this shop?
