G2 won't hit.
hi guys, just got into golf carts, a buddy of mine give me a G2. Hadn't run in a while. Can't get it to start. Turns over good by crossing out at starter. I see a random spark on the spark plug. I have sprayed some starter fluid in carb. Hasn't hit at all. Hadn't figured out how to crank it with gas pedal. Glad to be here. I guess it time to do some searching and reading. Thanks Joe

Re: G2 won't hit.
I'd say solenoid, but maybe somebody with more experience will chime in soon.

Re: G2 won't hit.
Hey I'm new to this forum too. Had a lot of carts but just got my first yamaha g2. Had same problem bought a starter celenoid and still no fire. Checked every connection and finally figured out trouble was in switch on gas petal. The floor raises up to access it.

Re: G2 won't hit.
Getting the starter to run is only half what you need. The ignition may not be activated. It's designed to shut off when you let off the gas pedal.
