polypropalene adhesive/filler
Anybody know what kind of filler and adhesive will work on polypropylene or
polyethylene? I've got some cracks, holes and some mending to do on a G9 body and nothing in my arsenal is sticking! JP |

Re: polypropalene adhesive/filler
Yes, the stuff is like bondo for plastic. Grind the areas you put it on, grind out the crack some so it will not return. If just a patch you can sand it instead. Can also use bumper paint/primer for a primer, though its usually black. The bumper (plastic bumper covers) paint is for flexible things and works great. I'd also get a can of the adhesion promoter to spray it with before you paint it, for the bare plastic areas. Its cheap and works well. Make sure you clean the, well clean it really well first.

This is the Bondo you want to use. I used it to fill by body cracks, sanded it down, and painted it and it looks like new.

That looks like it should do the job. There's an Autozone just a few miles away from me so, I'll be there tomorrow and plan on doing some patching this weekend.
Thanks Gator JP |
