Scotty; thanks for posting the State of charge chart. Printed it out. That's a great reference to have in the shop. Jim

YEP! I keep a copy in the shop and one on the desk ..... maybe I should put one in the truck? That is a great reference. It comes straight from the Trojan Battery Company. If every sparkie owner had that and a DVOM, we would probably loose half the traffic on this site

True that! A DVM is one of main tools for my sparky

So if i'm reading the chart and previuos threads correctly, you should be recharging at no less than 36.3 volts {50 percent} ?

You are correct. The batteries will last longer and the cart will operate crisper At the correct voltage...... I hear people say that their batteries are good because the cart runs 'forever' on a charge. I think to myself Glad I don't own those batteries .....

Cart is in heated storage right now. Checked pack voltage today, which read 37.8 . I think thats not bad since it was charged just after christmas

In storage you should charge when pack reaches 2.1v/cell which just happens to be 37.8v for the pack. Or at least don't let them sit very long below 2.1v/cell. This helps minimize sulfation.

3or 4 months is too long to let them sit inactive......better to go drain and recharge some once in a while .
