Default Re-arching front spring?

My new (to me) '02 ezgo PDS seems to have a slight list to the driver's side, which appears to be a common problem, from my 'research'. I haven't seen, but wonder if, this situation can be addressed by re-arching the front driver's side spring, and whether this is something that can be done at home. I seem to recall from some hot rod forum I read that altering a spring arch can be done with a hydraulic press, working gradually from end to end, so how difficult could it be on a golf cart's spring? Another semi-formed memory from even longer ago is that this can be accomplished using two pieces of railroad track a couple inches apart and a bfh, also working from end-to-end to gradually coax the spring into a new curvature.

Any shade tree mechanic out there willing to weigh in on this concept, or an alternative inexpensive approach?

Many thanks, in advance.

Cheers -- Gary

Gary, you could beat the **** out of it with a BFH, but new springs aren't really expensive. Shop around, check with the site sponsors.

I agree with Gorno. I would just pick up a new set before I went through the trouble of trying to re arch the old ones.

It can be done and it wouldnt be much money (I had some custom length front leafs made for my cart for $20 a set). You could do what we do and swap the drivers leafs with the passenger leafs. This makes the cart sit level with someone on it and in time it will sag enough to sit level again.
