First Post - New Cart
Hello everyone!
Over the weekend I purchased a Midnight Blue 2005 EZ-GO 36 Volt from my Brother's Father-in-law. It has been in a car port under a EZGO Tarp for a year and has not moved. The batteries were dry but we filled them with Epsom salt solution and charged them up (Yes I will need new batteries). Basically it is running (slow) and has a couple of creaks but the frame and body are in great shape (2 minor knicks and the pinstriping is all intact). It has a Light kit (front and rear) and a back seat. No cracks in any of the seats. Tires are in good shape and have held 22 PSI for 2 days. Paid him $1000 for it and can get the TROJAN batteries for $500 cost through a supplier. Came with a working Powerwise charger and cover. My brother bought one from a dealer last week and paid $2850. Decent deal? I drove it around the neighborhood last night and everything seemed fine but the brakes did not stop very well. (Taking apart the hubs tonight to clean out and grease. Glad to be a member! Will |

Re: First Post - New Cart
Just don't waste too much time / effort trying to revive the batteries. Dry = Replace!

Me? Thoughts on that 'Snake Oil'? LOL - It's a waste of time and money. Sure, there will be people that swear by it. There may be a temporary fix for a few weeks, but you can't mix up any type of fluid or 'Magic Mix' to make up for poor maintenance...

They claim it will renew batteries 4-5 years old. and those that have run dry. Can't believe it would work but, had to ask..
