Default Clean terminals everytime?

Back for some advice. Quick run down, 36v, series, alltrax 500 stock motor and f&r, upgraded solenoid. I took out charger plug from by leg and wired direct to batteries, (needed the space). Problem is everytime I go to charge I have to remove terminals under nut on neg post and clean with wire brush. No corrosion I can see but it makes it work again, I use terminal spray coating. but looking for a more permanent fix, batteries not hot but probably 2 years old. Thanks for any input.
