Not true, you have to do the right prep and use the right products and it will stick like Glue, Several of us have painted out tops with great success. Do a search on painting on or look in the paint and body section!

I'm with you cheepjeep2, I have a top like yours and painted it with fusion paint over a year ago and it still looks great, no flaking, peeling or anything. And I didn't even use adhesion promoter, just cleaned real good with a de-greaser type cleaner and rattle bombed it with Krylon Fusion paint.

I did paint mine as well and it came out great! I just pressure washed it and used a good de greaser and she came out awesome!! Pics coming tomorrow about 6pm!!!!! I just need to wax and polish her up real good in about 30 days once the paint cures! Thanks for all the tips!

thanks man! it was a ton of work which you know from yours you are doing! i ran into multiple speed bumps along the way but im very pleased with the results and im so glad i took it on myself!!

Looks like a great job. The color doesn't blow my skirt up, but that's why they make so many different colors !!!!

cart turned out really nice. i like were you mounted your speakers. i was going to put mine their also, but i used a mp3 amp an ran it under thier so i had to mount my speakers on the body.
